Food Preparation for Maximum Juicing
Food Preparation for Maximum
Juicing
|
- Chop larger products before placing them in juicers.
This ensures that the juicer will not become clogged
easily.
- Avoid adding too many leafy vegetables in juicers.
While electric juicers can handle them more easily than
manual juicers, they juice better if leaves are not
added in bulk. Add leaves in small handfuls.
- Cut tomatoes in half or quarters for easier juicing.
Make sure to squeeze out the tomato seeds.
- You can juice potatoes (it's true), but you should
remove all sprouts or eyes before placing them in the
juicer.
- Rhubarb and carrot greens must be removed, since
they will clog up the juicers.
- Remove the skin of any fruit that has a tough or
fuzzy hide, such as pineapples, kiwis, oranges, grapefruits
or peaches.
