Jean Farrar, who has lectured on nutrition
at Eisenhower Hospital in Rancho Mirage, California, and
the College of the Desert in Palm Desert, California, recently
shared some of her excellent recipes with us.
You can buy frozen okra. Thaw it before
you add it to this powerful cleansing drink. The combination
of ingredients helps circulation and digestion.
1 stalk celery, finely chopped
2 spinach leaves
2 romaine lettuce leaves
1 cup (250 ml) okra
3-4 ginger slices
1 cup (250 ml) pineapple juice
Blend all green vegetables together. Add okra and blend.
Blend in pineapple juice and ginger slices. Serve cold and
drink immediately for best results.
Suggestions: You can also add sea kelp granules and unsalted
Gaylord Hauser Spike Seasoning for a sweet and sour drink.
