The Breville Ikon Espresso Maker BES400XL has features inspired
by commercial machines. With a sleek yet functional look, it gives you a cafe
experience
in
your
own kitchen. The boiler heating system provides exact temperature control
for espresso extraction plus powerful steam through the commercial steam
wand with
an adjustable control knob. The comercially inspired Triple Prime feature injects
three succinct bursts of water into the ground coffee making it moisten
and swell. This creates
more back pressure and prevents burning. The back-lit soft-touch control
pad gives you fine control over the extraction process. The steam button lets
you control the heating
process for frothed milk. The exclusive Easy Eject filter system lets you
easily interchange the three included filters (single, double, and
pod). Each filter uses
Breville dual-wall technology to consistently produce rich crema. The commercial
steam wand has a swivel ball for easy maneuverability and a soft
grip dial that controls steam pressure for barista-style frothed
milk. As an added feature, the boiler also heats a mug-warming tray on
top of the machine.
